BIO
Citing influences from The Beatles to Radiohead and with singer/bassist Steven Bradford’s previous background in screamo outfit Waiting for Autumn, Get Back Loretta has emerged as something equal parts influenced and influential. They playfully lapdance their influences in front of you, without ever giving in to anyone’s desire to “sound more like them.” Are they The Beatles meet Queen? Sort of. Are they also Wild Cherry meets Hendrix while bitch-slapping Maroon 5 with Danny Elfman and Eddie Murphy laughing hysterically? Getting warmer.
Recently, the band received the “Best Pop” award at the 2006 San Diego Music Awards and received the “Best New Artist” award at the 2005 SDMAs. Mainstream monolith MTV is taking notice as well, featuring the band on MTV2’s new show On the Rise.
Get Back Loretta is a rock band that makes listeners very uneasy about codifying them as simply that; a rock band. It’s a winning equation: Isaac Cass’ rock drum smarts; the tasteful and tasty piano licks and harmonies of Kevin Martin; the axemanship of Josh Cass and Sonny Romeri; Steven Bradford’s pleading vocals and pop comprehension. To say it all adds up to just being a “rock band” seems foolish and simplistic.
It’s safer and more encompassing to, instead, say, “They rock.” - by Andy Killion
FROM RECENT REVIEWS OF GBL'S CD "OVER THE WALL":
"gbl is guaranteed fame."
"every song on here is of a catchy, funky, upbeat commercial persuasion. commercial, not just in the sense of, "packaged and ready to be taken to market," but rather, "packaged and ready to help market," or, even further, "packaged and ready to help companies purvey their wares."
"Get Back Loretta has been named last year’s “Best New Artist” and this year’s “Best Pop” at the San Diego Music Awards. Their new album “Over the Wall” leaves no question as to why they have earned such distinctions..."
"this is the kind of music that won't stay confined to a local niche very long. within each song there are at least two distractingly catchy riffs and you only need to hear one of them to know that get back loretta's chili is spicy..."
"The group has a unique sound that combines simplicity with a positive, retro feel so soulful that you can’t help but fall for it."
"expect to hear their music soon in the background of ubiquitous WB-esque teen dramas because, while gbl will benefit from having their music on the show, the show will also greatly benefit from gbl being on there. that is the point that needs to be made clear: USING THIS MUSIC WILL ENHANCE ANY PROJECT YOU UNDERTAKE."
"Steven Bradford, Kevin Martin, Ben Johnston and Isaac Cass are immensely talented and dangerously successful when combined to form one of San Diego’s most popular groups. Easy to recognize but difficult to replicate, the sound of Get Back Loretta is incomparable."

It’s hard being one of the hardest working bands in
Long Live Logos send a simple, clear message put to music that smacks of their influences, like The Strokes, Keane, New Order, The Get Up Kids and The Cure. LLL’s intricately woven riffs dip in and out and between each other, leaving an unbroken chain of music with no bumps, flaws or seams. It’s a Teflon-slick musical terrain for meandering ears to glide along aimlessly and effortlessly.
Long live carefully crafted rock; long live hard-working, dedicated musicians; Long Live Logos.
